Cheeseborough House

Cheeseborough House is our jewel in Barnard Castle.

The sun trap courtyard is all finished can,t wait to show everyone the rest of the house in three weeks when all the interiors will be done.
Cheeseborough House is a wonderfully preserved early 19th century, grade two-listed weavers cottage located in Thorngate, one of the oldest parts of historic Barnard Castle, with views over the River Tees just a few metres away, retaining many of its original features yet providing all the modern amenities one would expect in a five star rated property.
It sleeps up to four people with two spacious en suite bedrooms, a cosy, relaxing lounge with log burning stove and wooden floors leading into the large kitchen/dining room with original working range fireplace and stone flagged floor. A stable doorway leads into the secluded courtyard garden with apple tree, flower border and large outdoor seating area. A short stroll leads to the town's many restaurants, pubs, shops, antique shops and the world class Bowes Museum.
